A journal is a great gift for a friend who is a writer or a creative. Journals provide a space and an outlet for them to release anger, sadness, loneliness, frustration, and all the other range of emotions they’ll feel through their grief journey. Even if they already own a journal, gifting them a journal that is specific to their grief journey is such a meaningful gift. There are various options when selecting a journal that depends on how well you know the grieving. A simple everyday journal is perfect without getting too personal. A weekly or monthly meal subscription is a great gift for anyone especially if you are long-distance and unable to drop off a home-cooked meal. For a more personal gift, jewelry is the perfect option! Customizing the jewelry with the person’s name, birthstone, handwriting, or picture can be a way for their loved one to keep them close. A bracelet with handwriting, a ring or earrings with birthstone, a picture locket necklace, and bracelet charms with a scripture or quote are the most common but a quick Etsy search provides a variety of options to customize!
